Duckdose Shutdown, Why The World’s Greatest Duck Shut Down Their Modafinil Empire, and Why They Will be Missed!
The Duckdose shutdown has just happened in the last month or so, and we are writing to commemorate the company for the service that they once offered in such a great way! One of the great Modafinil vendors of the 21st century, Duckdose held their own among other popular vendors such as Modup.net, Modapharma, Afinil Express.com, and a host of other similar and related Nootropics and Modafinil online supplement vendors found on the internet. The following blog post is a tribute to the Duck Dose.org team, and will serve to educate readers as to why the company closed their doors, and of why quitting while they were ahead for them was likely a very very smart move! The Duckdose Shutdown, Why It Happened and Why It Actually Is Really Smart for the Company
Duck dose closed their doors because the company basically made too much money, and decided it was in their best interests too pursue other, more lucrative business prospects, such as building a software company, or starting an internet company in a niche that is actually legal, such as trading cards, or legitimate health supplements, or herbal supplements, or beauty products, basically anything aside from prescription drugs. Had I been Duck Dose I probably also would have called it quits after a little while, as from my calculations they were getting somewhere around 1700 visitors per day, which on a Modafinil targeted website was probably generating somewhere around 35 to 40 sales per day, not including the size of whatever their email list was, which could have easily been in the tens of thousands. All of this combined leads me to believe that they were likely generating in the range of $150,000 per month in gross sales, which at a 50% profit margin gives them somewhere around $1,000,000 per year pre-tax, given that they were in business for several years, they likely made around $3,000,000.00 and decided that it was probably best to close their doors and start something new, good for them, they won the game!
Why The Duckdose Shutdown Is Saddening to Me, and Why I am Making a Tribute to The Company Via This Farewell Blog Post
The shutdown is somewhat saddening, because anytime a company is doing a good job, it is really cool to see them grow and prosper. I have personally watched Nootriment grow from a tiny little puppy, one that used to be called Best Nootropics.com, and that constantly had problems with their payment processing and with their ability to make money, into Nootriment.com, a gigantic, monstrous blog that has now become the king of the Nootropics industry, without even selling any products, and instead just using ads and affiliate links! Nootriment now has over 4000+ articles, and gets nearly a million hits a month, which is freaking awesome! Duck Dose.org was getting 1700+ visitors per day, and in my own personal opinion were really doing a bang up job, A+ to them for making it in and out of Nootropics and for being able to make their money and get out A-okay!
Final Thoughts on the DuckDose Shutdown, And a Final Goodbye to a Company That Made it To The Other Side!
I think that their branding, their logo of a duck, which was really cool, their SEO and marketing strategy, and just about everything else that the company did, was pretty freakin cool, and that they did a really good job of creating an online e-commerce brand that people want to buy from, that people like hanging out on, and that people generally said good things about on just about every single forum or social media website that they were mentioned on.
